So far Act I of A Doll's House has been very eventful. Due to these events many opinions, views, and analyzations will arise. As everyone has their own view, I have mine as well.
In my opinion, Nora's closet s full of skeletons. It seems to me that every time she talks to a person she nforms them on a lie she has told to benefit life for herself. She also acts very arrogant. No matter what advice is given to her by friends and family she always turns them away because she believes her way is better than everyone else's. As her lies and arrogance grow the people she is acting like this around seem to be coming closer and closer to realizing that Nora is cumpulsive lyer and arrogant woman.
As Nora keeps lying, her friends and family start uncovering the lies she has told. This is an important subject in that the people that figure out her lies start off with the people with the least importance and works its way up. Such as, Ms. Linde and Krogstad and will eventually Torvald.
An important theme in this Act is the roe of women. Often Nora states that it is her duty to take care of Torvald and often Torvald says that Nora's only responsibility is to listen to and do what he tells her to. This is interesting because they contradict eachother and may foreshadow events to come.
What do you think?
